Cheshire West and Chester Council has now announced how its services will be affected by the national lockdown, and we have a list of changes to certain Frodsham-based facilities.

A Cheshire West hospital currently has the 'highest number' of Covid-19 patients 'in the north west'.

That's according to Dr Susan Gilby, Chief Executive of The Countess of Chester hospital, who told Cheshire West councillors yesterday evening that her staff were presently treating 231 coronavirus patients.

A man who smashed a window at Frodsham's Best Western Forest Hills Hotel while drunk has been fined.

David Stephen Robinson, 35, of Adamson Close, Latchford, Warrington, broke two bones when he punched and broke through the window while he was staying at the hotel on the night of December 19 2020.

A planning application for the creation of a dog agility training, exercising and walking area on farmland off Tarvin Road has been approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The plan, which was submitted in October 2020, will see an agricultural field converted into a private hire dog walking space, where owners can exercise their dogs off the lead without worrying that they might escape.
