A planning application for the creation of a dog agility training, exercising and walking area on farmland off Tarvin Road has been approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The plan, which was submitted in October 2020, will see an agricultural field converted into a private hire dog walking space, where owners can exercise their dogs off the lead without worrying that they might escape.
To ensure that the space is secure, the field will be fitted with five or six foot high fencing and a double gate entry system.
The applicants believe that this will be perfect for people who wish to work on training skills in a large open space, to exercise nervous dogs, or to carry out group agility sessions and exercises.
Supported by Helsby Parish Council, planning permission was granted on condition that the business' hours of operation were kept between 7am and 7pm only.
Work will now begin on development a website and social media pages for the new service, which is forecast to launch in July of this year.
