A Waterside ward resident has started a 'Kindness Café' at Saltworks Farm Playing Fields, to help make the area a more secure and inclusive environment for all members of the community to use.

Helen Watson, who is also the force behind the ongoing Save our Skate Park petition calling for improvements to Saltworks facilities, has been visiting the playing fields regularly along with several other local residents, to talk with the young people that use it, as well as providing food and hot drinks.

It's just four days until Castle Park Arts Centre reopens its galleries with the new Spring Exhibition from the Association of Animal Artists.

Running from Tuesday 13 April until Saturday 15 May, this exhibition presents a rich and varied collection of original art created by Association members.
