Liverpool Girls is expanding to the Frodsham and Chester areas

A Liverpool-based membership card rewards scheme is now inviting Frodsham and Helsby businesses to promote their services with customers from across the region.

Liverpool Girls is a 'one-stop-shop' for women, which currently targets the Liverpool area. Set up in 2018, it aims to create a platform for women's social interaction, opportunities for business networking and various different social events.

At 6pm this evening (Wednesday), through the noise of cars passing by, one could hear Frodsham's residents step outside to clap for Captain Sir Tom Moore.

Captain Tom, a World War Two veteran, raised over £30 million for NHS charities last year by walking around his garden, just ahead of his 100th birthday.

The Active Travel scheme proposes improvements to the walking/cycle route on the A56.

RESIDENTS have be reminded they have just over a couple of weeks to have their say on plans to improve the pedestrian and cycling route between Frodsham and Helsby.

Cheshire West and Chester Council has secured funding from the government's Active Travel Fund to undertake a number of cycling improvements, which have been earmarked as priorities in the council's Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan.
