Manley Road Copse

Manley Road Copse looks set to receive a makeover as Frodsham Town Council arrange for maintenance work to be carried out on the site.

At an extraordinary Amenities Committee meeting yesterday (Wednesday 17 March), Councillors agreed that a contractor would be hired to cut the sides and top of the front hedge, remove brambles, ivy and unwanted vegetation and pick up any litter.

While the Local Democracy Reporting Service revealed last week that recycling rates in Cheshire West have fallen over the last five years, it seems that the pandemic has led to a resurgence in local efforts to stop household waste going to landfill.

Figures revealed by Cheshire West and Chester Council show the authority collected an extra 5,000 tonnes of recycling during 2020.
