A recent Cheshire West and Chester Council report on the borough's 20mph zones has revealed the relative safety of Frodsham's residential roads.

The Council's 20mph Speed Limit Programme was first introduced in 2016 to reduce average speeds and road traffic collisions on residential streets across the borough with average speeds of less than 24mph.

The amount of waste recycled in Cheshire West has fallen over the past five years

Recycling rates in Cheshire West have fallen over the last five years, new data shows.

The data, sourced from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, also shows that the council collected 480.4kg of household waste per person from homes in the area in 2019-20 – though that was 2.1 kg less than five years earlier.

A planning appeal to continue use of the touring caravan and camping site by Helsby Park Homes for up to a maximum of 10 touring caravans, has been dismissed.

The camp site, which is located just off the A56 down Chestnut Lane, is currently permitted to host up to five caravans or motor homes, plus any number of smaller tents, at a time.
