A successful weekend for Helsby RUFC's Natwest RugbyForce 2020

This weekend saw more than 50 volunteers attend Helsby RUFC to help maintain and make improvements to club facilities, as part of Natwest's RugbyForce weekend 2020.

The event, which was organised by Jed Dunham, proved to be a slightly more complicated affair this year, with Covid restrictions requiring all volunteers to socially distance.

However, all of the helpers worked hard to make their club a smarter and more accessible space for the whole community, achieving great results in very little time.

Helsby RUFC's Duncan Cowley said that he wanted to send a "huge thank you to all the families, young and old, who attended.

"It is a very special day in the calendar, which I personally love and feel very emotional about. It was amazing."

Helsby RUFC are now hoping that they will soon be able – Covid restrictions permitting – to get back onto the pitch for their 2020-21 season.

RugbyForce 2020 is sponsored by Natwest.
