Match report: A sensational season opener by Helsby First Team in away match against Willaston FC

The West Cheshire League Division 3 season got off to a flying start for Helsby First Team, who beat home team Willaston FC 8-2 on Saturday.

In the first half, Helsby, taking chance after calculated chance, scored four goals in just 17 minutes, continuing in the second half with another goal in the first minute.

Helsby FC's Duncan Cowley said: "I was gobsmacked. This team is seriously sensational. The opposition simply couldn't cope!"

Goals were scored by Lee Turkington (3), Adam Collins (2), Nathan Conlan (2) and Jamie Hayes.
