Frodsham Sings Community Choir uses lockdown stasis to raise money for local charities

Over the last 15 months, while rehearsals have been virtual and performances off the cards, Frodsham Sings Community Choir have been busy raising money for local charities.

Last year, the choir diverted their subscription fees to West Cheshire Foodbank, donating over £3,000.

More recently, the fundraiser team collected £762 for Cheshire Young Carers and Brain Injury Rehab and Development, two of this year's choir charities.

While all this great work has been going on behind the scenes, members have also been trying their hand at Zoom singing sessions and recording remote performances, which you can watch some on the Frodsham Sings YouTube channel.

The choir have even welcomed some new members over the course of our successive coronavirus lockdowns!

Now, everyone is excited to get back to in-person rehearsals in two weeks (fingers crossed!), whether they be indoor or outdoor.

Well done to everyone at Frodsham Sings!
