Over the past few months, we have been talking to some of these local businesses and organisations for our 'Up Close in Frodsham' series.

This week, we chatted to Rebecca Hemshall and Carrie Hartley of Elegance Health and Beauty in Kingsley

Elegance Health and Beauty's pretty salon has been a well-loved landmark of Kingsley village since 2000, offering the local community a range of treatments – including facials, massages, lash lifts, waxing and reflexology – in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Rebecca has owned the salon for the past five years, with Carrie becoming its manager in 2017. Together, they aim to make Elegance Health and Beauty "the go-to salon, known for exceptional client service and the quality of our treatments.

"We pride ourselves on creating an outstanding client journey all the way from the initial contact with us through to our unique treatments and excellent aftercare advice from our highly trained and experienced therapists," they tell me.

"We maintain a spa-like ambiance in the salon, ensuring the sensory experience is appropriate to the treatment. That includes appropriate lighting, heated beds, warm fluffy towels, aromatherapy scents from our wonderful ESPA range, soothing music, high standards of cleanliness and highly trained, experienced therapists.

"Finally, we always have a very warm and friendly welcome for you!

"This has always been the forefront of what we do, and we are proud of our five-star ratings on social media, which we work hard to achieve."

Having been closed more than they have been open over the last year, the ladies at Elegance Health and Beauty are excited to be back now that Covid restrictions have eased.

"We are so grateful for our amazing clients who have continued to support us throughout lockdown," they say. "Everyone has been really happy to be pampered by us again and we are also seeing lots of new faces who we are always delighted to welcome through our doors!"

Choose from a diverse range of treatments

As well as classic treatments such as hot stone massage, ear piercing and gel manicures, Elegance Health and Beauty also offer CACI Synergy non-surgical facial toning.

"CACI uses a unique microcurrent technology, incorporating LED light therapy to give longer lasting lifting benefits," Carrie, who has over 20 years' experience in offering this treatment, explains.

"It works to re-educate the muscles, like going to the gym - it is a workout for the face!

"This significantly reduces fine lines and rejuvenates the collagen and elastin production of the skin, knocking years off your appearance.

"For acne rosacea and acne sufferers, CACI uses a clinically proven blue LED light therapy to reduce swelling, redness and scar tissue whilst using red LED light therapy to increase collagen production, giving the skin an overall firmer appearance."

On top of this, the Elegance Health and Beauty team have just introduced a new Active Nutrients Facial from ESPA.

"This uses ESPA's newest range of facial products – including our new favourite, the Yuzu and Ginger Sorbet Cleanser – and a unique Gua Sha massage!" Rebecca says.

Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese therapy which involves scraping the skin with a semi-precious stone tool to boost blood flow and stimulate lymphatic drainage. In this way, it reduces inflammation and bloating while relieving muscle tension.

Rebecca and Carrie also have plans for an intriguingly-named heated lava shells massage, during which self-heating tiger clam shells are used to help smooth away knots and tight spots.
