If you take a stroll through Castle Park Arts Centre, you will no doubt spot the beautiful, flowered archway which now leads into Unit 7. This belongs to the newly relocated Willow Wood Fairy Garden Gift Shop, run by Jan Knowles.
Originally based at Boffey's Emporium at Lady Heyes, where you can still find a reduced range of Jan's products, The Willow Wood is a treasure trove of magical gifts, accessories and ornaments for your home and garden.
Underneath the shop's atmospheric flower garlands and fairy lights, you will find shelves lined with toadstool lanterns, glittery hairclips, pixie figurines, garden signs and much more: everything you need to add a little sparkle to your day.
And with notebooks, pens and mugs available as well, The Willow Wood Fairy is also a great place to buy gifts for the whole family.
"I've always been interested in fairy gardens," Jan says. "I like how they get the imagination going. It is my goal to bring great gifts to the masses and spread a little bit of magical fairy dust along the way!"
Having begun her Willow Wood Fairy business several years ago now, Jan has some exciting plans for her new Castle Park shop.
As lockdown restrictions ease, she hopes to begin hosting fairy garden parties for children, as well as perhaps running fairy trails in the Park grounds.
The Willow Wood Fairy is open from Tuesday to Friday, 10am until 2:30pm, and on Saturdays from 10am until 3pm.
You can find out more on Jan's Facebook page and website.
