St Laurence Church is planning a range of fundraising events for Christian Aid Week, which will take place between 10 and 16 May.

This year, Christian Aid is working with a local partner in Kenya to build earth dams designed to catch precious rainwater and help communities withstand the unpredictable weather patterns caused by climate change.

In aid of this project, St Laurence will be running a collection on Main Street on Thursday 13 May. There will be one person standing outside Main Street Community Church and another near the Bears Paw. If you would like to spend an hour helping out with this fundraiser please email [email protected].

It will also be possible to donate online through Frodsham Churches Together's Christian Aid Week JustGiving page, as well as an e-envelope on social media.

Finally, if you would like to go further than a single donation, you can challenge yourself to walk 300,000 steps this May and ask family and friends to sponsor you.

For further details on how to get involved, please visit the St Laurence Church newsletter.
