Frodsham Nub News aims to support our community, promoting shops, businesses, charities, clubs and sports groups.
We will be profiling some of these local businesses and organisations over the coming weeks in a feature called 'Up Close In Frodsham'.
Today we caught up with Beth Greer, owner of Ivy&Bee-Interiors.
Ivy&Bee-Interiors sells a range of modern homeware and accessories, from blankets and cushions to houseplants to Espresso Martini tealights!
"Ivy&Bee-Interiors was born out of my love of interiors and from decorating my own home," Beth says. "I don't have a background in interior design but it has always been a keen interest of mine."
Running alongside this passion was a growing desire to start her own business, and so, at the beginning of this year, Beth created Ivy&Bee-Interiors.
"I wanted the name to be personal, and tried out a few different versions. Ivy is my gorgeous little cavapoo (who everyone in Overton will probably know!) and my family call me Bee."
Just like the Ivy&Bee name, Beth says that her products are "very much reflective of my own style. We've all spent so much more time in our homes this year that I want our items to create an atmosphere that makes people happy in a beautiful and functional way."
"Eco-friendly"
"I'm passionate about nature and reducing our carbon footprint, so I knew immediately that any products we stocked, or businesses that we collaborated with, would have to be eco-friendly.
"I do my research and only stock brands which share our ethos. For example, the throws we stock are made from recycled wool and material saved from landfills. Our candles are all soy wax in re-usable pots made right here in the North West and we use recyclable packaging.
"Ivy&Bee also donates funds each month to Ecologi, which goes towards re-planting trees in areas of deforestation and reducing carbon emissions.
Even as she works to build and shape the Ivy&Bee brand, Beth continues to hold down a full-time job.
"You could say I'm a bit of a workaholic!" she says. "I work in an office but my business is run from home so I get the best of both worlds.
Social Media
Although a home-grown business, Ivy&Bee-Interiors delivers nationwide, and Beth maintains a friendly relationship with her many happy customers through her popular Facebook and Instagram feeds.
"Social media has proven to be an extremely important way for me to connect with my customers and community, especially being an online business.
"I don't think I would have had the level of success I've had so far without it. It's also a great way for my customers to connect with me too.
"I receive so many photographs of our items in their new homes and such lovely feedback. It always makes my day when someone sends me a picture or leaves a kind word.
"I've been completely blown away by the fabulous response I've received and Ivy&Bee is growing so much quicker than I could have possibly imagined.
"It's really humbling seeing people buy into my vision."
Ivy&Bee products can be found via their website, where they offer free local delivery.
Beth also supplies a specially curated range of items in Belvedere Blooms, located in Gleaves Garden Centre, Frodsham.
