Last week, we asked if you knew of a local Frodsham Hero who deserved to be recognised for their contribution to the community.
We had some lovely nominations, which we'd like to share with you in this feel-good Friday feature!
One local lady pointed out the great work of Weaver Vale Primary School's Safeguarding, Pastoral and Inclusion Lead, Cory-Ann Taylor, who has been working tirelessly this year to offer support to children and families.
Her nominator tells us that Cory has co-ordinated the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme over all the holidays since the pandemic started, ensuring that Frodsham families in need haven't gone without food and resources.
The HAF programme has been running for a number of years in Frodsham and has, in the past, just been for families eligible for free school meals.
Cory has ensured that furloughed families have also been supported and has also made sure that other schools in Frodsham benefitted as well as Helsby primary schools and the High School.
She has run everything from Weaver Vale Primary School and has co-ordinated volunteers to deliver food directly to families.
She has partnered up with the library service to make sure that families have all the resources to join in with the online library craft activities, whilst buildings have been closed.
And she has done all this whilst working full time at the school!
"She is a remarkable individual with tireless enthusiasm and although it has been a team effort to get food and resources to people across Frodsham, it wouldn't have happened without her," her nominator said.
