Frodsham elections in May: Council invite prospective candidates and agents to attend briefing

In preparation for local elections in Frodsham and elsewhere taking place in May, Cheshire West and Chester Council are inviting prospective candidates and agents to attend a briefing on Tuesday 16 March.
On May 6, Frodsham electors will be able to vote for a ward councillor to replace former Cllr Andrew Dawson on Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Residents in Lakes and Waterside wards will also have the opportunity to vote for new councillors to fill existing vacancies on the Town Council.
Those elected will serve until May 2023, when all borough and town council seats will be up for election.
Finally, on May 6 local residents will also vote in Cheshire's Police and Crime Commissioner election, which was postponed in 2020 following the coronavirus outbreak.

Nominations will open at 9am on 26 March and close at 4pm on 8 April.
Appointments must be made to deliver nomination papers in order to maintain a Covid-safe environment and all will be held at HQ Building, Nicholas Street, Chester, CH1 2NP.

Cheshire West and Chester Council has assured residents that it is doing all it can to make polling safe for the May elections. However, if you prefer to vote from home you can apply for a postal ballot by emailing [email protected] or ringing 01244 977084.
