Primary Care Cheshire is currently in the process of developing a Bereavement Support and Employment Support Link Worker service in Frodsham, Helsby and Elton.

Your local Bereavement Support Link Worker will aim to help individuals who have suffered the loss of a loved one and need some extra support.

This service will also be open to any health or care workers who have been affected by witnessing multiple deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Employment Support Link Worker will work with partner agencies to assist people recently out of work in updating their CV and finding new volunteering, training or paid opportunities.

They will also be able to offer advice on the unemployment and in-work financial support available to eligible individuals.

Your unemployment does not have to be specifically related to the Covid-19 pandemic for you to access this guidance.

These services will not be time-bound and will be available to anyone who is:

• Is over 18

• Is registered with a GP Practice in Frodsham, Helsby or Elton

• Has ongoing needs / support requirements following bereavement / recent unemployment.

All referrals for these services can be emailed to [email protected] and referrals are accepted from individuals, community support groups, statutory bodies and also the GP practice staff.
