Local businesses who have had to close over lockdown can now apply for a Cheshire West and Chester Council Covid-19 financial support grant.

There are grants available for:

- Rateable businesses forced to close during the national lockdown;

- Businesses affected by the national lockdown that are forced to close and are not eligible under the national lockdown scheme above;

- Businesses affected by Tier 2 (High Alert) restrictions;

- Businesses mandated to close since March.

This might include businesses in the hospitality, leisure and non-essential retail industries.

Businesses that can continue to trade because they don't depend on direct in-person trade will not be eligible, this includes professional services, manufacturing, digital and creative businesses.

There will be a free webinar on Wednesday 11th November at 3:30pm to help explain how the grant works and how to apply. This will be open to up to 250 business, who can register here.

Following the live broadcast, the video will be shared on the Council's Let's Talk Business website.
