The owner of Frodsham's Q Bee Studios44 tattoo parlour is planning to shave her head in order to raise money for The Pink Ribbon Foundation.

Following her mother's recent breast cancer diagnosis, BillieJo English wanted to find a tangible way of showing her support and love.

"My mum is having all five cancer treatments as the cancer she has is aggressive. She will lose all her hair and have a weakened heart and bones," BillieJo said, adding, "My gorgeous mum will now have to shield for 6 months too."

That's "six months without a cuddle from her children and grandchildren. All of this will also mean that my mum will be at her weakest over the Christmas period."

BillieJo hoped to do something that would help raise her mum's spirits during this lonely time. She wanted to show her that, despite the isolating nature of her condition, she is not alone.

Knowing that her mum would lose her hair as a result of her chemotherapy, BillieJo decided to join her.

She will donate her 23-inch locks to the Little Princess Trust, who make real hair wigs for young people who have lost their hair due to cancer or other treatments.

Meanwhile, all donations to BillieJo's fundraiser will go to The Pink Ribbon Foundation, which aims to fund projects by UK charities which assist people suffering from breast cancer.

In less than 24 hours, BillieJo has already raised £1,500 for this worthy cause.

"If everyone gives as little as £1, if everyone shares and likes [this page], it would just mean so much to us right now," she said.

"Get behind me and let's do this!"
