In the month of January, more than 300 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) have been issued by Cheshire Police by 'blatant and repeated breaches' of lockdown rules.
Over the past weekend alone, 70 FPNs were handed out for a variety of contraventions, including being out without a reasonable excuse and mixing with other households who were not part of a support bubble.
However, the vast majority of residents are sticking to lockdown rules and only going out if it is absolutely essential.
Cheshire Constabulary is urging the public to continue their good work by staying at home where possible.
Police officers are out and about patrolling key areas across the county including beauty spots to ensure that residents are staying safe.
Full details of the lockdown restrictions can be found on the GOV.UK website.
