To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, for which this year's theme is 'Connecting with Nature', Mersey Weaver Scouts have launched a 365 Steps to Wellbeing challenge.
In a video explaining the challenge, the Scouts tell us: "As we all know, the past year has been tough, and has had a huge impact on everyone's lives.
"Some studies suggest that the pandemic and long periods of social isolation has had a big effect on young people's health and wellbeing, and the Mersey Weaver Youth Shape teams want to do something about it."
The challenge, which will run over the course of the next year, aims to enable the local Scout community to become happier, more active and more aware of mental health and wellbeing.
Members will work to earn five special badges by taking notice of mental health issues and taking steps to keep their bodies and minds active and connected.
Local Scout groups including Frodsham 4th (Overton) and 1st Helsby Scouts have been eager to get involved, with the Helsby Beavers already completing a fun walk on the Marshes this week.
