Cheshire West and Chester Council would like to know your views on the management of wildflower planting, parks, open spaces and outdoor play areas in our area.
The Council plans to produce an overarching Environmental Management Strategy for Council-owned land and facilities, which will include a review of its current Play Strategy, a Wildflower and Grassland Strategy, and a Parks and Greenspaces Strategy.
Through the consultation, you can make suggestions for the creation of wildflower meadows on green or grassy Council land. So, if there is a suitable place in Frodsham or Helsby, why not let them know?
Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Louise Gittins, said: "Council-owned parks and green spaces are a vital part of the borough, providing spaces to help improve the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of residents and attracting visitors to the area.
"We've had a great response to our consultation so far with lots of people giving their views, it's not too late to have your say. Please let us know what you think of our proposals regarding wildflower planting, grass cutting, and play and youth areas."
The eight-week consultation closes on Monday 25 January 2021. Residents can give their views by taking part in the online consultation.
Comments can also be sent to the Council by emailing [email protected], or by writing to the following address:
