Frodsham Town Council has released notice of elections to be held to appoint new town councillors in Lakes and Waterside wards.
Votes had already been called to fill vacancies created by the resignations of former Waterside Cllr Lucy Sumner and Lakes Cllr Andrew Dawson. However, there is now a further Lakes ward vacancy for the position previously held by Mallie Poulton, who stepped down earlier this month.
If the number of candidates nominated exceeds the number of vacancies in these wards, a poll will take place on May 6 2021.
Nominations papers for town councillor candidates must now be delivered to Cheshire West's Returning Officer by 4pm on Thursday 8 April, and applications to register to vote must be submitted by midnight on 19 April.
May 6 is also the date that Frodsham residents will be able to vote for a Cheshire West and Chester ward councillor to join the town's existing representative, Cllr Lynn Riley.
In addition to town and borough council elections, Cheshire residents will be invited to vote for their next Police and Crime Commissioner.
Further information about the upcoming Frodsham Town Council elections can be found on the Town Council website.
