Another land mark game for Helsby FC today (Saturday). This time it was the Reserves against Hoole FC on the new pitch.

The lads started positively and within five minutes the ball was slotted home for a great goal.

Helsby were on top in every department - controlling the game in midfield - the pressure was mounting on Hoole and it was soon 2-0 with Loc Stanier scoring.

Helsby were sensational and even when the snow and sleet descended on the game Helsby surged into a 4-0 lead.

Hoole scored a consolation goal in the last five minutes to make the final score 4-1 to Helsby FC Reserves.

What an amazing few days for Helsby and also great to see so many first team players and managers there encouraging the lads onto victory - it had a real club spirit about the occasion - Helsby FC march onto victory!!
