A local resident who received her Covid-19 vaccination last week wishes to publicly express her gratitude to the healthcare workers and admin staff who are keeping Frodsham's vaccine centre running smoothly.

Helen Watson, who has been shielding since March 2020, had her first dose on Friday, and is thrilled to have made this first step back to normality.

"As a healthcare professional retired on ill health grounds I want to say a big thank you to all at the vaccine centre today," Helen said.

"I'm totally impressed! I felt like a big kid waiting for a birthday surprise.

"Louise the nurse and Jan the admin, alongside the other staff, made me feel totally safe.

"As I've been shielding since March and just 53 years young I couldn't be happier to get the vaccine. A big thanks to all involved from Helen Watson aka Wacky Watson!"
