This week, as lockdown dragged into its second month, there was a bit of excitement at Frodsham's Hover Force.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, a small crew from CBBC's Blue Peter, including presenters Richie Driss and Adam Beales, came to try their hand at some of the centre's adrenaline-filled activities with Frodsham locals and Hover Force instructors, Megan Lovett and Jake Martindale.

In lockdown, businesses are permitted to open for the making of a film or television programme, so allowing Hover Force this brief break from the monotony of Covid restrictions.

"Because we offer unique activities, we do quite a lot of filming," said owner, Paul Hanks.

"We actually did a hovercraft shoot for the new Sky One series, Intergalactic in Manchester last year, and we've had the Real Housewives of Cheshire come down before as well!

"We'd done a few programmes with CBBC over the years, but we've never had Blue Peter before."

With the first episode of Hover Force activities scheduled to air in about six weeks time, you won't have to wait long to see Frodsham featured on screen.

The second instalment should appear a month or so later, so keep an eye out!
