Manley Knoll

Last Sunday (11 July), hundreds of people came from far and wide to visit the gardens of Manley Knoll, a beautiful house nestled in the countryside around Simmondshill Wood.

Through this National Open Garden Scheme event, visitors were able to explore the house's six acres of beautiful gardens, which flow through a variety of themes and styles, including ornamental ponds, woodland walks and a magical folly garden.

Covid-19 case numbers continue to rise in Frodsham and Helsby, as Cheshire West and Chester Council urge residents to remain cautious ahead of the full lifting of lockdown restrictions on July 19.

In the week leading up to July 8, there were 26 coronavirus cases in Frodsham, making for a rolling infection rate of 283.5 per 100,000 people.

It has been a long time since many of us were able to visit the theatre or see live performances. Last week families of Frodsham C of E Primary School were very lucky to be invited watch a socially distanced and outstanding performance of The Lion King by Year 6.

The children practiced daily, made their costumes from recycled materials and worked together as a team to put everything together.
