The organisers of Forest Live have announced that Doves and Keane will no longer be performing this summer at Delamere Forest, as all events are put back to 2022.

Keane were due to appear at the Forest on Saturday 18 June, with Doves following on the Sunday.

As the first anniversary of the initial COVID lockdown approaches, plans are being developed in west Cheshire to commemorate those who have lost their lives and everyone who has been impacted by the virus.

Tuesday 23 March has been chosen as a National Day of Reflection by charity Marie Curie, who is asking people to 'take a minute to reflect and a moment to connect' by joining in with minute's silence at 12 noon, shining a light at 8pm or reflecting on the last year in their own way.

More than two in five Cheshire NHS staff felt ill due to work-related stress as the coronavirus pandemic took hold last year, according to a health service survey.

The annual NHS staff survey has revealed that 44 per cent at Warrington and Halton Hospitals, 44 per cent of workers at the Countess of Chester Trust, and 41 per cent of those with the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership Trust said they had felt unwell in the past 12 months as a result of work-related stress.

While the road is closed, there will be no through route other than for delivery and emergency vehicles.

Looking over to Manley Old Hall Farm

Another week, another walk. This time, our route draws us up and over the rolling fields around Manley and Alvanley, skirting pretty woodland and criss-crossing glittering streams as we go.

The walk is about four miles long, and is quite muddy in parts, so be sure to wear waterproof footwear!
