A huge game yesterday at Helsby FC: Helsby's First Team entertained league leaders Runcorn Sports, who were six points ahead. However, second-placed Helsby had three games in hand - a title game if ever there was one and also a local derby to add to the spice of the occasion.

The conditions were horrendous when the game kicked off - monsoon-like at times with heavy rain and storms circulating in the air.

Frodsham is alive and bustling once again and, not surprisingly, pubs and restaurants have topped the list of local residents' post-April 12 destinations.

92 per cent of Frodsham Nub Voice volunteers have said that seeing businesses reopen has made them feel more optimistic about our economic recovery from the pandemic, with 77 per cent of them having paid at least one visit to Frodsham's hospitality venues, shops, hairdressers and beauty salons since lockdown eased.
