Back in Easter-time, we wrote about a walk looping round Kingsley village and the Weaver and this week we thought we'd move a bit further up the river to Acton Bridge.
Beginning in Crowton, this four-and-a-half mile walk takes in quiet country lanes, open fields and riverside pathways, a very tranquil way to end the week.

Cheshire CCG has today released a video diary from Dr Abbie Fletcher of Helsby & Elton Practice, following her daily duties as part of the local vaccination rollout team in Frodsham and Helsby.
During the video, Dr Fletcher shows viewers round the vaccination centre at Frodsham Leisure Centre while also discussing the challenges and constraints created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It's Friday, and that means we're celebrating another one of our local Frodsham Heroes.
This week we thank Paddy Bleakley and the team at Kash 22, who were nominated by Frodsham MP Mike Amesbury for the amazing community work they carried out during the first coronavirus lockdown last year.
On Sunday 23rd May, Hob Hey Wood Friends Group reaches its third birthday. Yes, our group is three years' old. It all started at a meeting, called by Frodsham Town Council, asking people if they would like to be 'A friend of Hob Hey Wood'.
In those early days, most of the volunteers knew little about ancient woodland, not much about woodland management and, in my case, had few practical skills. It seemed a monumental task to take on.
