Once located in Helsby, Ellen Thomas Occasions can now be found at 1c Langdale Way, next to the newly refurbished Top Shop.

A local wedding and prom dress business has just opened a shop in Frodsham.
Once located in Helsby, Ellen Thomas Occasions can now be found at 1c Langdale Way, next to the newly refurbished Top Shop.
With half term approaching, Cheshire West and Chester Council is reminding families of the support and resources available to them.

Cllr Helen Hayes has been elected as Frodsham Town Council's next Chair by members of the Council.
Cllr Hayes was nominated by Cllr Phil Griffiths at Monday's Annual Meeting of the Council and will replace outgoing Chair, Cllr Judith Critchley.
Local bookworms looking to find new reading material can pop into Helsby Library to see what books they have on sale.
Helsby Library is open on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am until 1pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2pm - 6pm.

Frodsham's PCSO, Neil Flanagan, has reported a sustained reduction in antisocial behaviour at Saltworks Farm Playing Fields.
In correspondence conveyed at Monday's Frodsham Town Council meeting, PCSO Flanagan detailed the work that he and Frodsham's local police team had carried out around Saltworks to help address ongoing issues surrounding the behaviour of some young people at the park.

Helsby Parish Council is preparing to move its office to the new Helsby Community Sports Club.
The Parish Council, which is currently based at 200 Chester Road, will be relocating to an office space within the clubhouse, which also contains meeting and function rooms.

The Co-operative Council of the Year award honours councils across the UK which are committed to co-operative principles and working with communities to achieve common goals.

Helsby Tennis Club has won the Lawn Tennis Association's North region Tennis Club of the Year, beating clubs in Cumbria, Durham & Cleveland, Isle of Man, Lancashire, Northumberland and Yorkshire to the honour.
"Our focus on excellence, flexibility and inclusivity were highly praised in addition to a great coaching programme, phenomenal growth and amazing development of the new site," Helsby Tennis Club said.

POLICE officers in Frodsham have highlighted a self-care message and say residents should use it to praise themselves for "doing their best" during the pandemic.
They spotted the poster during a visit to Helsby High School and have passed it on via social media as they believe it encapsulates the need for us all to be a bit kinder to ourselves during difficult times.
Now that lockdown has eased enough to allow for outdoor and indoor socialising, there are summer activities and events popping up all over the place in Frodsham and Helsby.
