The final race in the Montane trail tour series, which covers Delamere Forest Trail 10 & 13, has been postponed until next year due to Covid-19.
The event was due to take place this Sunday (27th September), but has now been moved to 2021. Runners usually complete a 5, 10 or 13k race, through Delamere's forest paths.
Frodsham Nub News aims to support our community, promoting shops, businesses, charities, clubs and sports groups.

In human terms, Frodsham is old. There has been a settlement here for over 1,000 years. This timescale appears insignificant, however, when compared to what was here before.
At the end of the last ice age, about 11,000 years ago, much of Britain was covered in vast sheets of ice. As the ice retreated, trees moved in, covering the land in forest. This was called the wildwood.

Frodsham Town Council are in the process of organising 2020's Remembrance Day commemorative event, knowing that it will be rendered unrecognisable by the Covid-19 pandemic.
At a meeting of the Events Committee yesterday, councillors agreed that it would be near impossible to arrange any sort of event with more than six people present.
Over the past three weeks, Frodsham Nub News has published 54 articles about our town and welcomed 22 local businesses to our online directory.
We have loved exploring the many aspects of life in Frodsham and Helsby, from brownie-baking businesses to comedy sketch shows to scarecrow competitions.

Cheshire Police has today initiated its new community policing model, through which dedicated officers will be assigned to each of the county's 122 policing areas.
Frodsham, Helsby and Kingsley & Gowy now have their own police officer and Police Community Support Officer (PCSO).

Amateur musical theatre society, The Zodiac, have been forced to postpone their performance of Flashdance: The Musical, following the introduction of new, more stringent Covid-19 restrictions.
The show, which will be the amateur premier of Flashdance, was due to take place in April 2021.

The Leader of Cheshire West Council Councillor, Louise Gittins, is urging all residents to play their part to protect family and friends by downloading the new NHS COVID-19 app.
The app launches nationwide on Thursday when it can be downloaded onto smartphones from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Hopes that Parkrun could return to Delamere Forest next month have suffered a fresh blow, and there are fears it may not return until 2021.
Chief operating officer Tom Williams revealed the setback in a live video conference streamed on Friday (September 18).
