The budget consultation is entitled Unprecedented Times

Residents, businesses and community groups are being invited to share their views on Cheshire West and Chester Council's budget proposals for the next four years. The six-week public consultation period will end on 3rd December.

The budget consultation, called Unprecedented Times, concentrates on the services residents saw as important when the current budget plan was formed, while also factoring in the 'huge and unforeseen impact of Covid-19'.

Located on a Springfield Avenue site which was formerly an independent living scheme, the development will consist of seven two-bed and four three-bed homes.

New testing sites will open in Frodsham, Ellesmere Port and Blacon

A new Covid testing site is to be opened in Frodsham in the next two weeks, Frodsham Nub News have heard from the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

There will also be new testing facilities for Ellesmere Port and Blacon, to join the centres that have already opened in Winsford and Northwich.

There are several Frodsham businesses and individuals who are offering free children's meals this half term.

On Friday (23rd October), we reported that Frodsham's Queens Head pub would be providing free breakfasts for any child who would normally receive free school meals.

This followed the rejection of the Labour motion to continue directly funding provision of free school meals over the school holidays until Easter 2021 by 322 votes to 261 Wednesday 21st October.
