The organiser of a petition calling for upgrades to Saltworks Farm skate park is asking members of the community to help her make the area a more secure and inclusive space for people to enjoy.

Helen Watson has been visiting Saltworks to engage with its younger users and deter antisocial behaviour every night for the past two months, and now feels in need of further support from other residents.

We all know that life in the age of Covid has been difficult and dark: the worst of times for many of us. But through its challenges we have also seen the best of human kindness and community spirit, which has definitely been in plentiful supply in Frodsham!

Recently, we reported on the kind-hearted volunteers who have given up their time to litter pick in various spots around Frodsham, and next week we will be celebrating the work of one of our local care workers.

As well as non-essential shops and outdoor hospitality, Monday 12 April also marks the opening of the new Forest Holidays cabins at Delamere Forest.

From this date, single-household groups will be allowed to visit self-contained holiday accommodation, including this new collection of 66 eco-sensitive cabins, which are 'designed to allow guests to immerse themselves in nature and connect with the natural world'.

We recently found this 1967 picture of The Ring O' Bells, looking a little, but not too much different to how it is now.

When this photo was taken, construction was just about to begin on the M56, and hundreds of families were moving to Frodsham to work for companies such as BICC.
