With the roadmap out of lockdown moving along we are all looking forward to getting together again. Many are now planning events in our town and we want to help!

With more fun activities coming up locally in the near future, including Frodsham music festivals, motor shows and garden open day events, we thought it would be a good time to let you know about our Nub News What's On section.

Local primary schools could be in with a chance of winning an outdoor sports and play bundle from Dunelm Chester.

The furniture shop decided to offer a give away to provide a "little pick-me-up" for children returning to school after Easter.

Local musician Mark Bleasdale is celebrating the latest stage in the easing of lockdown with his new single, 'Let's Go Out Tonight'.

This follows the success of his January single 'Stay in Tonight', which reached the No.2 spot in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart.

The big day has arrived. From today (Monday), non-essential shops, hairdressers and beauty salons can open their doors, and hospitality venues can welcome customers to their outdoor spaces once again.

There was a lot of cheerful activity in Frodsham this morning, where queues for No.5 the Barbers, Teko's the Turkish Barbers and Paul's Barber Shop – to name but a few – stretching back down the street!

What a night for Helsby FC First Team away at Mersey Harps FC on Saturday (10 April)!

The game started in a niggly fashion with Helsby on top. But the lads simply didn't have that cutting edge or match sharpness in front of goal just yet.

Tomorrow, 12 April, Frodsham and Helsby's local hospitality venues will be allowed to open their outdoor spaces for visitors.

Groups of up to six people will be able to enjoy a drink or meal outside, and the 10pm curfew will not be returning.

From tomorrow (Monday 12 April), step two of the government's lockdown relaxation will come into force.

Three candidates will contest the election on 6 May 2021 to represent Waterside Ward on Frodsham Town Council.

Patrick Eakin, Lucy Sumner, representing the Labour Party and Chris Basey, representing the Conservative Party will all stand for the single Waterside vacancy.

Work is well underway to transform Frodsham's old HSBC into new pizza restaurant, Main Street Kitchen.

The restaurant will be open from 9am until 11pm, Tuesday to Sunday, with 50 covers, a garden and a takeout service.
