Mike Amesbury has urged Council chiefs to ensure the future of Frodsham Leisure Centre when they meet on Wednesday.

More than 300 people from Frodsham responded to the recent 'Shaping the Future' consultation on the future of the borough's Brio leisure and sport provision. That's more people than any other part of the Cheshire West and Chester area.

As part of Cheshire West, Frodsham is now at risk of being placed in tier three

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to announce details of what and how new guidelines about coronavirus will be implemented when the current period of lockdown ends on Wednesday, 2nd December.

Before the second national lockdown was imposed, Frodsham - as part of Cheshire West and Chester - had been placed in tier two, in contrast to the neighbouring Liverpool City Region and Warrington authorities, which were in tier three.

A variety of community-based projects have been awarded just over £72,000 in the eighth round of awards since the Marshes Community Benefit Fund was established in 2016.
