Meet the Artists Evening - Castle Park Arts Centre
Friday 2 July, 7pm-9pm
With light refreshments and music from the Salt Town Scholars, an acoustic duo hailing from Northwich, this promises to be a fun and interesting cultural event, as well as a chance to meet the artists behind Castle Park's current exhibitions.
Tributes on the Hill Festival - Higher Mickerdale Farm
Friday 30 July - Sunday 1 August
Tributes on the Hill Festival will take place in the picturesque rolling hills of the Cheshire Plains, celebrating some of the greatest bands & artists of our time, plus some exciting local talent

Until 7 August If you had to revisit the experiences and encounters that have shaped your view of and place in the world, which would you choose? It is in this question that David Atherton's new Castle Park Arts Centre exhibition, Drawing Aside the Journey, begins. Flowing from pencil drawings to painted landscapes, from mixed-media portraits to a lino print of Anderton Boat Lift, the July exhibition will chart 20 years of a life in this world, picking out the seemingly everyday experiences that have sparked interest and inspiration along the way. Until 7 August Natural Progression is a 'happy band' of Lancashire-based artists who all share a passion for textiles and who meet regularly to develop their skills, experiment with new ideas and run exhibitions of their work. Their pieces have been featured in various venues across the North West, including Towneley Hall in Burnley, Salmesbury Hall near Preston and now, Frodsham's very own Castle Park. This time, National Progression have chosen to explore the theme of 'Ragtime', creating a hugely varied ensemble of wall hangings, notebooks, bags, jewellery, scarves and vessels which draw out the contrasting moods of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.
