Last night (Monday), the Frodsham Players debuted the first instalment of 'The Fall of the House of Usher' in their online Ghost Stories series.

This short story, written by Edgar Allan Poe, tells of sinister goings on in a remote country house, whose residents are afflicted by a strange illness.

The first episode was read beautifully by Carol Crooks, and will be followed by two more, before the Players conclude their series with a reading of 'The Yellow Wallpaper' by Charlotte Perkins Gilman.

The Ghost Stories series is available to view on the Players' YouTube channel.
