A postponed meeting regarding the creation of a "project group to support the development of draft options for the future provision of leisure, health and wellbeing services in the Frodsham and Helsby area," is now due to take place on Monday 15 February.

During Cheshire West and Chester's November Cabinet meeting, it was agreed that the borough would proceed with a 'hub and spoke' model for the delivery of sports services.

In a consultation document launched by Cheshire West in advance of the Cabinet vote, local provider, Brio, deemed Frodsham Leisure Centre to be 'not fit for purpose'.

A report outlining the consultation's findings suggested that the facility would remain open 'on a limited basis in the short term'.

The meeting, which aims to set the project group idea in motion, will begin at 6:30pm and last for approximately one hour.

If you wish to attend, please email [email protected] before 5pm on Thursday 11 February. A Microsoft Teams link will then be sent to you to allow access to the meeting.

Please note: If you have already registered your interest in attending the meeting, a Microsoft Teams link will be sent directly to you ahead of the meeting - there is no need to get in touch again.
