Work is beginning on a development of 11 affordable family homes in Helsby, delivered by Cheshire Housing Association and Weaver Vale Housing Trust.

Located on a Springfield Avenue site which was formerly an independent living scheme, the development will consist of seven two-bed and four three-bed homes.

Building work is to be carried out by local M&Y Maintenance and Construction, and is expected to be completed by November 2021.

Jo Fallon, Assistant Director of Development for Weaver Vale Housing Trust, said: "This development will bring much needed new affordable family homes to Helsby village.

"It forms part of an ambitious development programme for the Trust which will see us developing and acquiring over 450 new homes across the region over the next three years.

"We continue to be committed to providing high quality, sustainable homes for local people and creating vibrant communities."
