As well as Frodsham's non-essential shops, hairdressers and outdoor hospitality, April 12 was also the day that local tattoo parlours were allowed to reopen.
Local tattoo artist, Billie Jo English, was excited both to return to her Q Bee Studios 44 on Main Street, and to share her new creative offerings and artworks with customers old and new.
While tattooing has been on pause during lockdown, Billie has found other ways to keep her artistic juices flowing, painting pet portraits and local landscapes as well as customising shoes and clothes with delicate patterns and pictures.
From giving a pair of plain trainers a lift with some dainty painted daisies, to recreating part of Klimt's 'The Three Ages of Woman' on the back of a denim jacket, Billie's new work draws from a multitude of different styles and inspirations.
"It's been a difficult period this past year and, like many small business owners, I've have had to adapt and evolve," Billie says.
"It was during this time that I realised my business is to create, not just to tattoo!
"I've been an artist almost my entire life, and being able to adapt, evolve and think outside the box is not only part of what I do, it's also part of who I am.
"This time gave me the opportunity and drive to do more of what I love, adding more diversity to my business. I've been busy making and creating all kinds of things, from giant oversized feather wreaths, to customised shoes, bespoke jackets, and of course loads of beautiful paintings!
"I've since revamped my studio to display lots of these works alongside all things tattoo.
"I'll be adding new work all the time. Most is for sale and I cannot wait for more requests to create custom pieces of art, whatever form they might take!"
If you have a customisation request for Billie, you can get in touch via the Q Bee Studios 44 Facebook page or by emailing [email protected]
Billie's beautiful collection of geisha paintings are also still on display in the studio for customers to enjoy.
