This week, coronavirus case numbers in Frodsham, Helsby and neighbouring towns and villages remain as low as they have been since late last summer.
In Frodsham, Helsby, Kingsley, Manley, Alvanley, Sutton Weaver, Elton, Hapsford Norley and Hatchmere put together, a maximum of eight new infections were recorded in the week leading up to April 15.
Each of these areas, like the vast majority of Cheshire West locations, are currently recording 'suppressed rates', meaning that they contain 0-2 people testing positive each week.
In the borough as a whole, there were 47 new cases reported in this week, at least 19 of which were in the Winsford area. which marked a reduction of 23 per cent on previous week.
While Cheshire West and Chester's rolling coronavirus rate hovered just above the UK average – currently sitting at 26 per 100,000 - for much of February and March, it has now dipped below to 17 per 100,000 people.
This figure marks a continued reduction in the number of infections being recorded in the area each week, this time of 23 per cent.
Records reaching up to April 11 also show that no Covid-positive patients were admitted to the Countess of Chester Hospital in that seven day period.
Vaccinations
As of April 15, 489,493 vaccinations had been administered in the Cheshire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group area. This figure includes 90.4 per cent of 50-54-year-olds and nearly 100 per cent of all older age groups.
To date, 97,460 local people have also received their second dose, and all care home residents have been vaccinated.
