Frodsham photographer, Andrew Woolmington, was today presented with a Christmas gift in recognition of his service to the local community.

The present, awarded to Andrew by a Cheshire West and Chester Council employee, is an acknowledgement of the six years he has spent photographing different locations around the town, and helping to promote local independent businesses.

"I am over the moon to be recognised for my community work," Andrew said. "This is a wonderful dream come true!

"I began photographing Frodsham because I wanted to show what our great village is all about.

"I then thought I would use my Business Studies qualification to work with local shops and businesses in Frodsham, and I have just built up my confidence and have made many contacts with people since then.

"Even during these difficult times I have still gone out and continued to bring positivity to Frodsham. Local people have been coming up to me ever since to say a huge thanks for everything I have been doing for through these strange times.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it," he concluded.
