Local country musician, Lee Shone, has topped the Country Thunder Network's international chart with his song, 'Hit Me Like a Rock in the Head'.

Country Thunder is an international radio station, which promotes emerging country musicians and bands from around the world.

'Hit Me Like a Rock in the Head', which features on Lee's debut album, Never Sing the Blues Again, was one of only two British songs to be voted into the Network's Top 20 this week.

As well as reaching the No.1 spot on this chart, Lee's music has also been featured on radio stations across Europe and the USA, with Phoenix Country Radio making Never Sing the Blues Again their album of the month.

The album also proved to be hugely successful in the ITunes Country Charts, where it jumped straight to No.4 on its release.

'Walkin' the Country', the debut single from Lee's album, was released on Tuesday, and is available on all major streaming platforms.
