Budding photographers are being asked to send their best winter or festive-themed pictures for a chance to have their snap used in a Christmas card this year.
The competition has been launched by Mike Amesbury MP and takes place every year. It is usually aimed at schools, with children from across Weaver Vale sending in their artistic designs.
The winning image is then used on the MP's Christmas card, which is sent out to stakeholders such as schools, charities and community groups.
This year, due to Covid, the cards will instead feature a photograph and the competition will be open to all ages.
"Spread some festive cheer"
Mike said: "This is a tough year for everyone and we've had to do things a little differently this time around in terms of how we run the competition.
"This is a great opportunity for people to help us spread some festive cheer. The competition always produces a great response and I know there are some very talented people in Frodsham and Weaver Vale in general. I can't wait to see the entries!"
The winning image will be used for Mike's Christmas card, with a selection of runners up being displayed on his website and Facebook page.
Anyone who wants to take part can send their pictures to [email protected]
The cards are not funded by the taxpayer.
