Helsby Parish Council has been making arrangements for the replacement of two benches at Helsby Parish Play Area, which were vandalised on Friday 9 April.
The benches, which were rendered unusable by the damage, will be replaced by fixed steel equivalents.
Funding for this can be sourced partly through Section 106 money, which is paid by housing developers to be used on community infrastructure projects.
A damaged bin situated in the play area will also be replaced by a covered plastic receptacle with metal lining.
To reduce the likelihood of repeated acts of vandalism on the play area, Cllr Sarah Temple will also assist Helsby's PCSO Lauren Davies in submitting an application for grant funding from Cheshire's Police and Crime Commissioner for the installation of CCTV in the play area.
Quotes are also being sought for the introduction of lighting around the perimeter of the parish field.
