A couple of weeks ago, we asked you why Frodsham is a nice place to live, and received lots of lovely responses about Main Street, Castle Park, the Hill and its surrounding countryside.
Having celebrated Frodsham's best-loved features, we started wondering about its hidden gems: the spots that may off the beaten track, but which are nonetheless must-see town attractions.
This is what you said:
"Hob Hey Wood is a real hidden gem. Set in a little valley it has plenty of wildlife and a spectacular display of bluebells and other wildflowers in spring. A wonderful place, yet many don't know where it is."
"Main Street has 30 Heritage Blue Plaques - we are so lucky to have so much history all around us."
"Top Marks on Langdale Way is a wonderful little clothes shop. They sell branded and designer clothes are amazing prices. You are sure to be welcomed (once lockdown ends!) with a friendly smile and asked if you want a cup of tea - lovely place to browse and shop."
"Sarah Hayes boutique in town is well worth a look!"
"It's not quite Frodsham but nearby Manley Common is a lovely quiet area which is perfect for an early morning walk! It's especially nice when walking past the low stone walls saying hello to the sheep in the field."
Finally, The Cholmondeley Arms pointed out their "hidden gem beer garden, tucked away upstairs at the back of the pub!"
Thank you to everyone who responded!
