We all know that Frodsham, with its pretty high street and arts centre, its amazing businesses, rich history and lovely countryside, is a very special place to live.

But what do the town's people have to say about life in our small corner of Cheshire?

Taking to social media, we asked you to tell us your favourite things about Frodsham.

Here are some of your heart-warming comments...

"I would say [that my favourite thing about Frodsham] is the lovely mix of history and convenience, plenty of shops but then also the rural side with the hill, the park and the marshes. Love it!"

Another local resident added: "I love it too. So many transport links, lovely people (mostly!) and community spirit."

"I also love walking in the village on a usual, non-Covid Saturday morning to do my shopping and pop into a café for a cuppa with my book," another person continued. What a lovely thought!

One respondent appreciated Frodsham's closeness to different amenities, as well as the "tens of miles of lovely green trails and fabulous friends and neighbours.

Another cited "the Georgian architecture and close proximity to the countryside," while others talked about the "great community spirit," "friendly people," and "candy cane Christmas lights down Main Street."

Meanwhile, one of you simply said "Cowards, nom nom!"

One person pointed out that "It's kept the village feel that most places have lost," and we couldn't agree more!

Making reference to Castle Park, someone else wrote: "Lovely walks and a gorgeous park with stunning gardens and arts and crafts shops also nearly, as well as a great play area for the children.

"The pretty and picturesque Main Street with its lovely wide road and individual houses steeped in history. There is enough of a variety of different shops to look around and very friendly people.

"I always enjoy walking around the town."

References to our local countryside were reiterated throughout, with one person mentioning Frodsham's "beautiful walks, maintained by amazing groups such as Hob Hey Wood Friends."

Another said: "For me, it's the perfect location, with road, rail and air services perfectly placed. But the really special thing is places to walk with wonderful scenery right on our doorstep."

Perhaps our favourite of all your great descriptions was: "A place to feel at home and safe, with its friendly, caring folk.

"A picture postcard Main Street, with plenty of little shops and cheery cafés to enjoy, and surrounded by countryside and so many beautiful places to walk.

"There is an easy commute to surrounding areas for people who work, but they can then return to dear Frodsham to relax."
