POLICE officers in Frodsham have highlighted a self-care message and say residents should use it to praise themselves for "doing their best" during the pandemic.

They spotted the poster during a visit to Helsby High School and have passed it on via social media as they believe it encapsulates the need for us all to be a bit kinder to ourselves during difficult times.

The officers say some of us are expecting too much of ourselves and are not prepared to examine and credit the things we are doing right when the challenges appear overwhelming.

They said the poster in the room at the school is true to "what we have all been through during the pandemic and how well people have done to keep each other safe and get through this difficult time".

What do you think of the message? Are we heaping too many demands on ourselves?
