There are so many talented photographers in Frodsham that we thought it would be nice to celebrate them through our Nub News photo awards!

In the days leading up to New Year's Eve, we will be sharing our winning images with you, so watch this space!

Today's photo, captured by Duncan Cowley is a beautiful portrait of life on Frodsham Marshes. It shows a lone mallard drifting serenely on the water, his feathers gleaming in the sunlight.

We especially love the tiny water droplets that you can see falling from around his beak.

This year, Duncan collated his lovely pictures in his Marsh Calendar, which sold 120 copies!
