In the seven days leading up to 23rd December, there were 12 new Covid-19 infections reported in Frodsham, marking a decrease of 25 per cent on the previous week.
Meanwhile, in Helsby and Kingsley, the number of new coronavirus cases rose by 450 per cent, from four to 22.
This put the area's rolling infection rate at 236.8 per 100,000 people, while Frodsham's sat at 130.8.
Both of these rates are below that of Cheshire West (257.7 per 100,000 as of yesterday), which is also lower than the countrywide average of 378.6 per 100,000.
In our borough, there have been 891 positive coronavirus tests in the past week: an increase of 30 per cent on the previous seven day period.
In the same timescale, there were 61 hospital admissions and 20 Covid-related deaths, a decrease of five on the week before.
Cheshire West is now in Tier 3, meaning that hospitality venues must close unless they offer a takeaway or delivery service.
